Possible Retreat Bug

Hi all:

It seems like in my game against Kondor bugs are appearing out of the top hat like rabbits.

I attacked Canton (with the chinese) with a 25% chance of taking it and succeded all damaged and non damaged units had to retreat and even though they had a transport path all the way to Japan, they were destroyed [&:], game said they were unable to retreat.

I guess that Tesla guy is a Genius, don't you Kondor[:D][:D]

Any way I'm going to need several Teslas in the USSR [:@]

I'm sending you the save before (play the russians) and after WH, let's hope you can sort this out.

You've experienced two different retreat bugs.

Earlier, you had the landlocked defending German infantry with a clear land path that was forced to "retreat across the sea" in the Russian turn. This was because it was moved via a HB in the German turn, flagged as such, and then treated like a dropped airborne unit for the retreat in the Russian turn. Clearly a bug.

This more recent Canton retreat "bug" is because the WA have CAGs in 215 North Pacific 3 which can op-fire on anything moving along the Japanese transport path. The op-fire is shutting down the retreat via the transports. There is an op-fire bypass for retreating 1 step out of the lost region (e.g. Canton to South China Sea), but not for subsequent steps along the transport link (e.g. East China Sea to Yellow Sea). So, this can be considered either a bug or by design. I would call it a bug, but I'll ping Joel first.
