Possible to change/mod the UI

Commander – Europe at War Gold is the first in a series of high level turn based strategy games. The first game spans WW2, allowing players to control the axis or allied forces through the entire war in the European Theatre.

While I love the game, I'm not terribly pleased with the resolution. The close up view is just too close and the middle view is pulled back just a little too far. One thing that exacerbates this problem (at least for me) is the gigantic UI! It takes up practically 1/3 of the damned screen! Would it be possible to create a mod to chop the size of the UI in half for those of us under the age of 40? [:D]
I would love to get a little more strategic real estate.

Well, you think we are over 50 well I am well over 50 and the UI is fine for me.  I could also use it if it were smaller.  I didnt know that young peoples eyes would not adjust to size.  So for you poor guys under 50 who cant read the large print I suggest you see an eye doctor.
