Subs not reloading Mines

Post by ny59giants »

I am currently playing CHS Scenario 158c as the Allies. I have sent both Dutch subs O19 & O20 on a sub mine laying mission. They are back at Soerabaja to reload (port 8 and supply over 20k) with an AS in port. They will NOT reload mines. [:@]

Why not??[:(]

Is it because the port is less than size 9?? I understand the ML's if the port is below size 9, but I did not think that effected subs.

Mine reload is a mine reload...same rules apply.

I've seen this a few times , have you tried disbanding the TF and reforming - this usually works for me.

In CHS the Brits have an MLE that starts the game in Trincomalee. Very useful little ship...

In a size 8 port with no MLE?

So I need either a size 9/10 port OR a MLE present in the base to reload mines regardless of what type ship or sub it is??
Correct??

All the AK's with the name starting with "Steel" are converted on day one!! [;)]
Can never have enough AR's running around. [:D]
It's nice to see the addition of them in CHS vs. stock. [&o]

When i played stock (a very long time ago [:D]) I had a list of what ship names got converted to what type of repair ship (i.e. - AR's: West..., Steel..., Ma...).

Hi!

Had the a similiar problem in the stock game: Of the two mine-slots, only one was loaded. But converting the task force to Sub patrol and resupplying it normally solved the problem. But this was only in ports of size 9 (is this different in CHS?).

CHS has not changed the mineloading requirements; so any ML, be it a surface or submarine ML, needs either an MLE or at least a level 9 port to reload mines.

CHS has changed the size of some ports, so a port where you could load mines in stock may no longer be of sufficient size to do so in CHS.

Never the Lukenbachs.
Too fast, and too much cargo capacity.

Pick the slow ones.[;)]

In CHS they have to be 5000 capacity or larger to qualify. All those AK Steel .... name ships have a speed of 12.

I am just finding about the high speed AP's. [:D][:D] I'll be able to put together an AP TF of ships all with speed of 20 or faster with a capacity of over 40k. Thus, I can move a whole division and then some from point A to B very quickly. [:D][:D] Plus, some of them come with 6" guns. [X(][X(]
