Quickfix 1.05e released

Post by Pocus »

Dear players,

A quick fix (that you can retrieve in the Essential Files sticky thread). No dedicated readme here, there are very few things in it, but the AI one is rather important though:

1. Corrected 2 bugs reported this week-end.
2. Filenames have no accents (for Asian Windows compatibility)
3. Found a bug in the AI blockading algorithm, Union should be vastly better at starving to death the rebels now [:D]

The essentials list still says D AND after downloading and running the game the game STILL says D.

Have the exact same problem with BOA. It instructs you to use the link to a and that it really is b ( or what ever) yet when you download, install and run the game says the WRONG patch number.

I understand not changing linked info BUT IF the link is up to date I do NOT understand NOT changing the patch number inside the link or the game.

Do I have the right patch? Can't tell from my end.

This must be a caching problem on your side because the patch is 'e' and is indicated as 'e' in the sticky thread. I also download it again from the link provided, and inside the zip version 'e' is indicated.

I deleted the save file which was D and it then allowed me to load E, so it was something on my end.

Best method is to go to the AGEod forums, navigate to teh AACW Headquarter (sic) subforum, and one of the first sticky posts should provide a link to the most recent patch.

Thank you Pocus, all the files we need in one great sticky.[:)]
By the way, I bought the game last night and after being up most of the remaining hours playing, I had a slow day at work today.
I couldn't wait to get back home and start playing some more turns of this addictive game.
Great stuff this game is.[:)]
It doesn't make any sense, Admiral. Were we better than the Japanese or just luckier?
