Tranport or Amphibious

Can a member of the upper echelon advise the difference between the following TF types

(1)Amphibious
(2)Transport.

Both types will allow a generous but similar range of vessels to load out a fit for purpose Invasion force.
The only difference readily seen is the icon type used on the map.

i think this is mainly to help the AI pick ships and commanders for a fleet ... same with lots (not all) of the other TF types. If you are picking your own ships (and commanders), it doesn't seem to matter AFAIK.

The icons will be different; this can be handy if you have a number of TFs all in the same hex. Other than that, all samey same.

Many of the missions are like that. Barge, cargo, amphib, tanker, ect are all just transport missions.
