Having done all of the tutorials - whats a good scenario or battlepack to start off on?

Also what Dbase should I generally be using?

For Harpoon 3 I would recommend the PlayersDB! Info can be found pdb 747 for H3

For ANW?????? I do not play that version.......too bugy[:(]

I recommend some of the scenario's of the 21st Century Ocean War Battleset for H3. Freek has released well balanced scn's and they are worth playing [see some of my After Action Reports on this forum]

Depends on the time frame and conflicts you are interested in.

For example, for 1980-2015 (late Cold War, modern and near-future conflicts) you can try the DB2000: http://www.harpoonhq.com/?page_id=5

For the Vietnam / Yom Kippur / late 70s era there is the 1965-79 database: http://www.harpoonhq.com/?page_id=11

For the post-WW2 "Red Scare" / early Cold War period (things like the Suez crisis, Cuban Crisis, all the nuclear contigencies etc.) you can try the 1950-1964 "Colonial Wars" database: http://www.harpoonhq.com/?page_id=10

There is also a WW2 database if you are interested in that period: http://www.harpoonhq.com/?page_id=7

All of the above databases & their respective scenarios are supported at the Harpooner's Point forums.

There are also other DBs and scenarios available in other sites.

Have been playing ANW 3.8 and PlayersDB (update 07th July). Has been pretty good. No comment about it's origins. [;)]
