Transport Questions?

AGEOD’S American Civil War - The Blue and the Gray is a historical operational strategy game with a simultaneous turn-based engine (WEGO system) that places players at the head of the USA or CSA during the American Civil War (1861-1865).

Transport Questions?

Post by submariner0 »

I have just starting playing game and have some questions about transport?

1) In the early part of the game is it important to invest in expanding transport capacity (beyond keeping up with the wear and tear factors) or can this wait until more need is seen later? How fast does the new transport capacity appear?

2) I am on turn 3 and have already had some track destoyed between Washington and Baltimore. I assume this was caused by the recent riots in Maryland. Question: How is the track repaired and who repairs it? Are units required in the area to do the repairs or is it done automatically if military control is sufficient?

I agree this is a great game, but the manual is a bit spotty on some key topics .. like supply. Hopefully, reading the forums and asking questions will help me over the fuzzy areas.

Thanks for any responses.

1: Yes, especially as the North you will be trucking lots of units West and South down to Ky. Appears next turn.

2. You do it, just need a line unit in area, not on the specific track section, a Hammer will appear to the left of the unit tray on the bottom, depress, it`s usually fixed in 1 turn.

3. On-going game changes and enhancements have put the manual seriously out of date, you need the readme`s in the 1.06 patch for those, as well as the FAQ and specific topics on the official AGEOD Home Page Forums, where fine details are covered much more then here.
