Campaign Series Maps

Post by ONEI »

Is there a website were some one can down load Campaign Series (Rising Sun, etc..) maps like the Panzer PC Game Maps sites? I made a few maps myself and was looking into making a web site on this subject.

Until something gets set up, you could go to www.angelfire.com and set up a small website there that you can upload and release your maps.

I’m working on a website for John Tiller's Campaign Series Maps {mostly for the Rising Sun), but will work on other battle maps.
I’ve never made any European maps for Eastern or western Front (PS. Never had the original games, only Rising Sun).
I’d like for someone to try out my first attempt at an Eastern Front map.
The map is on Battle of Staszow (August 11 to 13th 1944), it seems the Tiger tanks first appeared here.
If anyone want to try it I’ll Email it to them.
Thanks from Rick

Hello Rick here

The suggestion of putting this or other Maps in "Mods and Scenarios" is a very good idea.
But a hate to say how wet behind the eats I’m with using the forum and uploading anything onto the net. Yes it is true us older fellows do not understand technology at times.
So if someone briefly has the time to explain to me how to upload a simple Photo or File on to this forum, my education would be greatly enhanced.

www.gamesquad.com has a section in downloads for Talonsoft games with sub categories for maps. Maybe Jason could get a Matrix Edition section opened.
Conflict of Heroes "Most games are like checkers or chess and some have dice and cards involved too. This game plays like checkers but you think like chess and the dice and cards can change everything in real time."

Alternatively, you could attach the maps to a post in the Mods and Scenario section.

Putting them in "Mods and Scenarios" would be my preferred choice.

You used to be able to get them from gamesquad/warfarehq, but when Matrix took over, all the files disappeared! It would be real good to have a site for maps, scenario's, etc.

Not a problem Rick, at 45 I find it somewhat challenging, but not impossible!! When you reply, there is an attachment area at the bottom, you want to use the "browse button to navigate to the directory(folder) where you have placed your photo/file, then select it. A few minutes might pass while the computer/network find and comply, then you hit ok, and Voila!! Fast reply, as I'm using right now willnot give provision for this feature, so use "Reply", or "Quote" options under the initial post. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me, I will try to help best I can!!

Mike,
I am having the same issue attempting to load a scenario onto the Mods & Scenarios section but the method you described only allosw 'gif/txt/jpg' files, not zip files - unless I am looking in the wrong spot.

ONEI no idea what you class as old. I'm 36 and can't even work half the things in the forum eg. how to quote.

How to use paint for an AAR. My pics are always to big to upload.

Maybe we can have a thread for "old" people here - how to work your way around the forum.[:D]

Hmm, you're all right, I'm used to the Blitz, forum, they allow zips! The file size limit is 200kb, so most zips changed to jpg, gif, bmp, then rename on DL won't be able to do so, as their size is too large! We need a ftp site or something here...

Wow, quite the list.

If you zip them up by game (Rising Sun, etc) as packages, I can host them for you.

Email me the zip files to jasonpetho [at) hotmail [dot) com
