damaged artillery

Post by jcrohio »

I have an artillery piece with a D next to its strength which I know means damaged. When I go to the refit screen and choose artillery it goes right to the damaged piece. The only option I have is reinforce but the D will not goe away. I have tried this on two consecutive turns.

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

Thanks

I assume it requires Arms to repair. Did you have Arms left?

Yes as mentioned above, damaged artillery requires arms for a refit. You can also refit damaged artillery right from the map: left-click the unit that is damaged and select refit from the popup menu.

Hi jcrohio,

If it is the only unit you are repairing (or the last one in a series), please note the info panel on the bottom does not automatically refresh.

You have to go to a different function (e.g., diplomatic) or close out Refit. If you then navigate to the artillery unit on-map, you will see that it has been repaired.

As noted above, repairs cost arms and, if insufficient are avaiable, the repair will not occur.

Thanks for the help - what I wasn't doing was not leaving any Arms - I had barrages but was doing Artillery repair after refitting my Corps and had no Arms left

Again Thanks
