Maximum-Football Website Update (Aug 7, 2007)

Post by David Winter »

Hello everyone.

I'm happy to announce that the main website for Maximum-Football ( www.maximum-football.com ) has undergone a little bit of a face lift and now also includes a special section on version 1.5. This section includes a feature list (subject to change), an updated FAQ, and about 20 new screen shots.

I will be posting new screen shots in the coming month.

If you're having difficulty seeing the new site or accessing the new pages, please try deleting your browser cache and reloading the page. Also, if you happen to catch a broken link or perhaps a spelling error, please let me know.

Thanks
David

David, question about replays. I saw on the features page for 1.5 this entry:
"Custom camera angles for replay viewing."

Can we select which plays to replay? Are we able to save replays?

The new look looks fantastic, and im looking forward to the update.

Thanks

Hey Dave i love those screen shots .Can`t wait to use that version definately makes waiting to make a current nfl league for that version . One question on one pic i saw players running through a helmet is that part of new version and if so , dose it copy the team helmet like u6 or dose it need to use a logo from L1 FILE . Must say i love the cfl version on here .

The inflatable helmet uses the U6.bmp helmet texture of the home team.

The replay system is the same as previous, it just has controllable camera angles now.

First impressions from the latest test build that we got last night, WOW!  Everything is comming together, the graphics, new animations, etc.  are looking very good.  Changes to pass coverage, blocking, positions, depth chart etc. are great.  Overall 1.5 is a big improvement over 1.3, and a astronomical jump from where the game was last summer at this time. Now back to testing, not many bugs left hopefully it wont be long to release.

David, 1.5 is looking good. I can't wait to try it out. As for broken links, the image "glamour2.jpg" that is referenced on the main 1.3 and 1.5 pages seems to be MIA.

Hi.

Please try refreshing your browser cache. I've checked that image and it's on the server (and showing up on the other computers I tried) so your cache might be referencing the old image/location. The main 1.5 page has a different image with a different name so that should be coming up.

thanks
David

Are the QB headshots shown in the Game Time! photo a new feature as well?

Someone had a question about the inflatable helmet that the players are running through. They do use the U6 BMP, below is a composite of screen shots for the home teams in one of my fictional league, the EuroAfrica League. The face masks dont follow what the team acutally has, they are always white.

Yes, there is a library of heads that are used. However you can still load your own photos and if you create a photo that has the same first and last name as the player you created, it will use that photo automatically. So you don't have to use the stock head images if you don't want to.

That has no effect, but I think it may be a browser issue. The images appear in IE, but don't in Firefox (my default browser).

Thanks...but VT is actually my second favorite team, I just work there :)  I bleed Penn State blue through and through.  It looks good though, I'd like to see VT add a big inflatable helmet, they are relatively new to the national scene, so it wouldn't be cheesy if they did it (but I'd keel over if any Big 10 or SEC team did)
