BOB 1941 - 1 week - TEST AAR

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

BOB 1941 - 1 week - TEST AAR

Post by Speedysteve »

Hi all,

HS and I are just testing the 1 week 1941 Scenario in BOB.

THIS IS PURELY A TEST. AS SUCH SOME OF WHAT YOU SEE MAY BE CHANGED FROM FINAL RELEASE. SAME AS GAME RESULTS, STATS ETC.

HS is playing the Axis and me as Allies.

So here we are with the first Axis raid detected for the day...............

Afraid the pics aren't good resolution...............

The first small raid hit Hawkinge before the GB could be in the air.

Here is the first mass of Axis raids that ultimately hit Biggin Hill/Kenley/Hornchurch.........

Patrols being set for south London.

I set these too late and a couple of other things begin to mitigate so that the GB is out of position and ready to get spanked today:

By the end of play in the day the LW had struck all around UK.

Radar on southern coast, Exeter AF, Tangmere AF, Woolston Works, Biggin Hill AF, Kenley AF, Debden AF, Duxford AF, Coltishall AF.

A good day for the LW.

since this is a test AAR, I can peek :)

hmmm, looks better from your side then from mine :)

show the pilot page, I know one of my Poles got two kills, plus the Eagles looked to of done some damage

(I was hopeing we'd get a view of SKG210 in action, wonder what that looked like on the Allied side)

and just in case, Speedy has a older OOB, so some of the info may look wrong (Bis is now bis) and stuff like that

for a test it went well, caught some stuff that I do not see in a AI vs AI game or player vs AI game (DANG)

got lucky with the CAI, the English never got to the bombers, plus the Stukas and CAI attack planes stayed on the ground

Well, nothing in my UI looks out of whack, so that's gotta be good. :) I forget, and too often test only against the '43 campaigns, so BOB stuff gets missed.

I think I know what you've blanked out, Speedy. Post your uncensored comments to the Dev forum...

just in case, we had some trouble getting started with Steve going in and out of town on work, and then as we got started, he is on another trip, so the delay is in him getting back so he can play the battle and not something with the battle :)

Hard Sarge ,

Nice to see that BOB has the full screen icon at the bottom of the icon buttons , now the same as BTR.

I assume you have ditched the ingame videos from BOB ?

I am not so sure we ditched them, but I have not seen them playing :)

yes, both games now use the same engine, so rules or settings that work in one, will work in the other also
