Random CTD's

Hi all

I purchased WPO a few days ago, and am enjoying it thoroughly, except for one problem - after roughly 15-20 mins play, the game inexplicably crashes to desktop. The crash is always a direct result of clicking an 'Exit', 'Done' or 'Back' button in a menu window. I cannot find any reason for the crash, and wonder if anyone here might be able to suggest a possible reason and fix. I have updated DirectX from the Microsoft website, and installed the WPO v1.205 patch from Matrix Games, but the crashes still occur. Below is my PC spec:

HP Compaq dx6100 Intel Pentium 4 2.79gHZ
504Mb RAM
WinXP Pro SP2
Intel(R) 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family, 128Mb video RAM

I hope this information might help someone to shed some light on the situation.

Try to disable sound.

Is some other application trying to force its way back onto the desktop? What other things are running?

Turning the sound off hasn't seemed to help - by that, I mean I have disabled my PC's sound system in Control Panel. I have no other apps running, other than the usual system stuff that is required to keep the PC running. I've never had this kind of problem before with a game [&:]
