Missing Carriers

Post by oldman45 »

I know there is a chance this has been asked, but after searching this section I don't see it.

What happens if you don't lose any of the initial US carriers? Looking at the list of carriers that arrive in the game it seems that if you don't loose the 4 we lost during the war you are SOL.

Thanks

You assume correctly. That's something many people have complained about.

I don't understand your question.  The US does not get any new carriers until 1943, so if you are in a short game seniario, you won't see any more carriers.  Please explain what you are looking for.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum!

They are talking about the carrier respawn rule that is described in chapter 15.1.1 of the manual. Basically the game designers removed several US carriers from the reinforcement schedule. These carriers will appear only as replacements for US CVs sunk before 1944. If the Allied player doesn't lose these carriers, he is 'robbed' of several flattops.

Oldman45, Ron Saueracker created a non-respawn scenario for CHS, with all US carriers arriving on schedule. You can download it here:
