Question for Harley

Eagle Day to Bombing of the Reich is a improved and enhanced edition of Talonsoft's older Battle of Britain and Bombing the Reich. This updated version represents the best simulation of the air war over Britain and the strategic bombing campaign over Europe that has ever been made.

Question for Harley

Post by jcjordan »

Harley

Got a new laptop with Vista [:@] & am installing your ver 2.0 editor on it along with BTR. When trying to start your editor it gives a msg about Component 'GlowControl.ocx' or one of it's dependencies not correctly registered: a flie is missing or invalid - where would I be able to find this or do about it? It works on old laptop with XP but it's bit the dust so I can only copy files off of it if I can get it to stay on (power plug is worn out so hard to get that magic spot where poweer will stay on so I can copy files off of. I thought I had copied any files I might've needed over but this might've slipped through the cracks. Any help appreciated as I know you don't support your old editor anymore but ideas on where to find the file/files missing.

glow control was a community written ocx that I adapted to my purpose. It must be registered to make the thing work, so you will need the installer.

I no longer support the editor, and have retracted all rights to distribution by others. I'm not even sure I have a copy anymore.

The ocx and vbruntime files will be in the system32 folder on the old machine, and will need to be registered by regsvr32, but they have never been tested on Vista...

You'll probably find others that do not work, as well...
