Stop Error Crash from shortcut

Post by junk2drive »

I double clicked my JTCS shortcut like I normally do and my screen went black, my speakers made a short trill and the computer restarted.

After that my desktop icons were moved about the screen. I received the MS popup that a stop error had occured and send a report to MS which I did.

IE then opened with a MS webpage reporting the cause. A device driver problem with no remedy at this time. No device was named.

Holy, now that's a new one!

Can you rightclick on the shortcut and ensure the path is going to where it is supposed to be going?

After the restart everything is normal. Played PBEM turns in WF and EF.

I don't normally send those reports to MS if it is a game crash but this was a surprise. Interesting that it was a driver problem. I expect problems once in a while from leaving the computer going for a while without a restart/reboot. Not the case this time.
