H&M endings and portraits replacement

Here goes a question on the old (and wonderful) Horse and Musket - Great battles of XVIII century:

in the shrapnel support site i have found many .bmp replacements for units and they are really good, i have even found a .bmp replacement for Endings and Turns BUT... i can not find Endings.bmp and Portraits.bmp inside the folder of H&M to replace them (not even in Dragoon that i own)...

I don't have,and haven't had the H&M1 installed in a long time,,sorry.

However,I think the folder structure is the same. it should be in the folder called "support files".

also it may not be a ".bmp" in the game,, but be a ".tga". so perhaps search for "endings.tga" or something similar.

H&M III is in beta now,,and will be, i believe,, a major improvement for the old series.

Thanks, i have the Prussia's Glory demo and yes there are some .tga, but in the old Horse and Musket and even dragoon the support file has .bmp. In the support file i may see armies (and i have replaced most of them) but there are not Endigs or Portraits... how can i change the default Portraits or endings??

I don't have either the original Dragoon or H&M1 installed,,so I am not sure if i can help you. I seem to remember people making changes with Portraits and Endings.

I am guessing these two files are there, but are the wrong format? bmp not tga? If so and if you have adobe photoshop or Paint Shop Pro, you can save either type as the other.. this will change the 3 letter extension from tga to bmp. this might work,, its worth a try.. there are other programs that will convert graphics from one type to another as well,,

Solved i used the 1.00, found the 1.13 patch and in the support folder came up the .bmp; replaced them and i am really enjoing them... Thanks!

H&M1 is the best I love it, I have Prussian War Machine also but haded the new look and interface.  I loved H&M1 GUI, application type look and feel the best!!  I wish they would go back to that GUI and just do the nicer graphics..

The graphics are definitely nicer... the game play has some improvements in it, but we are still working on bugs,, so no comments on this 'til we get a bit farther along.

the gui is going to be changed, but we haven't seen the changes as of yet, so don't know what to expect either!!  but we are coming along...
