Can't Start Game

I decided to buy this since it was on sale. However, I cannot run it. I click on the icon to start the game. It brings up an applet with various options, one of which is Play. When I select play I get an error message:

Run-time error '429':
ActiveX component can't create object

What does this mean and how do I fix it? Can I get a refund for the product since I can't get it to run?

On top of that if I select the Game Manual option, my system kicks a process for Adobe Acrobat Reader, AcroRd32.exe, which immediately starts using 99% of my CPU, and remains like that until I kill the process, but no game manual ever opens.

Has anyone else ever seen this issue? I will also post this in the PureSim forum.

OK, let's start with your PC specs, and go from there.

One hint: create a desktop shortcut for "C:\Matrix Games\PureSim Baseball 2007\puresim2k7.exe"

Also, open the game manual from inside the PureSim folder.
