The Shinano's hangar was relatively small considering her size. There's been a lot of debate regarding the size of her air wing, but it's highly doubtful that she could have carried 100 planes unless they were lined up on her deck.

Yes thats right she carry i start 18 planes later it was 47 not many when you think about the US carrier forces in 1944, but i dont no for fact if the Japanese was scrapping a other Yamato class BB because the war has profe that surface vessels were lost mainly to airpower, so i think that after lost of the Nagumo carrier force at Midway and Shokaku and Zuikaku there were mainly CVE back to carry out the task and they coldt have meet Essex class carriers, in great number.
Im not and expert in WW2, but many of the battles acurrent in ww2 show that victory was due to misstake and the planning by the opponent, If Nagaumo found the 3 US carrier and has lounch a full scale attack and not let forces remening to bomb Midway and in the end it was about 18 Kate and 6 Zero thats crippled the Yorktown.
I had in the Midway scenario Nagumo found my 3 carriers and I still seiling back to Pearl in a crippled Destroyer.
But i am working on the Royal Navy and Reggina Marine and the Kriegsmarine but because i am not so good [;)] to making maps i hope that Gray Wolfe son puplice the Atlantic mod so i can try out against Graff Zeppelin and Aquila and maby some invented Axis carriers
