Gibraltar and Suez

Post by Lascar »

Although I have not actually done this in any of the games I have played, it looks like it is possible for Germany and Austria to send ships on missions to the Mediterranean (Germany) and North Atlantic (Austria)via the straits of Gibraltar. Even though Gibraltar is not on the map certainly the reality of it should prohibit the passage of CP ships through the straits.

Likewise, if the CP takes Egypt, or has troops adjacent to the Suez canal, shouldn't that have an effect on TE troop transports to and from India? Of course the TE transports could take the long route around the Cape of Good Hope, but shouldn't there be some sort of time delay penalty for doing so? Unless that is already factored in somehow in the current 2 transports in the Eastern Med. rule.
