russian a/c unit upgrades

Post by jcjordan »

Couldn't find the original topic but I did a test & found out that the Russian a/c units do upgrade starting on 6/1/45. From the short test I did on scen15 it looks like some or all of the IAP units change to BAD units. Not sure if any of the other P units upgrade to D. I only did about 4 days with the scen & saw 2 IAP units change over so the Soviet air units do upgrade like the land units.

Indeed they do. The list is posted on a thread somewhere. Some effort has been made to insure units "upgrade" to themselves in some mods.

Unless I missed the post, the thread I'm thinking of was talking of the Soviet land units upgrading & linked to the post that listed the land units db # & someone asked about the air units & someone said it didn't look like they did but thought that they should due to the fact the Soviets were transferring air & land units in & thought they might look into adding more air units as a bunch were missing. At first I thought it was your Soviet OOB thread but that didn't look like it when I looked through there. But just so that those who want to know do know or want to test if further to see what all upgrades as I think my test was too short to tell fully what will happen. I REALLY HATE slot dependencies!!! I thought this was about air units, but land units are the same. In 1945 they upgrade - and again - we took care to insure the units wiped out are either the same - or part of the replacement unit. We also found out where they are defined - so they are defined as best we can do. 99% of the credit goes to CHS Russian experts - who did all but the data entry for RHS - they gave us lots of help and data on LCUs. I added two air forces, Marines, airborne, a whole navy - but the LCUs were largely done for us already by the CHS team.
