EDITING a league after it starts.

Post by DONMVP »

Was just wondering if i can edit the lenght of time for quarters after i`ve started a league . Playing 15 min quarters , cfl rules , having cpu play each other . Seeing each team have at lease 120 plays each passers throwing 60 times and punters kicking 20 to 30 times a game . Other then those quirts game plays great . Iremember some people saying no interceptions at all . I noticed 1st week season maybe 1 or 0 picks . Now second week maybe 2 to 4 picks . Have had last 2 games 4 picks in game . One starter was pickedoff 4 times in 60 min game . Last night by haft time another had thrown 3 before i paused game and subbed him out . So like you said as saeson progress , the db`s get better . Any imfo on if can edit be appreciated .

Hi.

The ability to edit league settings once a season has started is turned off. You can make changes between seasons, but not during a season.

thanks

you can edit the league.mdb database.  I was able to change quarters from 15 to 12 minutes, turn off fair catches, and change the ball used in a league last night.

You'll need Microsoft Access and know what values to change them to though.  I think you can use OpenOffice as well, but have never used it and don't know how that works.

edit: Always backup your league file first before making any changes. Otherwise you might damage your league and make it unplayable.

As sttfrk stated, the .mdb file can be modified if there is reason to do so.

The game does not support rules changes from the league edit screen during the season, because real leagues don't generally make rule changes in midseason.

Open office works great, I use it a lot to edit the league files.
