Stuck In A Loop At Season's End

I just finished my third season of a user-created fictional league, having run into no problems previously.

However this time when I got to the end of the season, I end up stuck in a loop. I offer extensions to the players whose contracts are expiring, click on the link to begin the off-season, the game retires players, and then I get an error box that comes up saying something to the effect of "Cannot process end of season, path not found". It then creates an almanac page for each player, and then stops. There's nothing new on the screen, just the same page that gives the option to start the off-season process all over again. The players age one more year (although the game still presents the same date of August 31, 2008), it retires more players, gives the same error, ad nauseum.

Now, what has changed on my system is that I have moved all my files over to an external hard drive from the main hard drive. After my wife bugged the hell out of me about there being no hard drive space on the PC, I got a 250GB unit, moved everything over to the new drive, re-installed the game... and here I sit.

So, if anyone has any insight, it would be appreciated.

All of them. It was a total folder copy from C: to E:
