Europe turn 18

Turn 18, February 1941

Conducted an initial assault on the outer defense of Manchester. It lots of casualties but the hex held. I am putting about 12 artillery a round into England. I will have to blast my way in.

I also landed far north in Scapa flow. I found a bunch of out of supply destroyers which I was able to sink with my surface fleet.

The allied player has a tough decision with the wx improving. Does he keep his fleet guarding Manchester or does he withdraw to the Med. If the fleet stays, it risks getting destroyed if I am able to get through. But, keeping the fleet there will inflict heavy casualties on my troops.

ok, turn 18 for the west.

First of all i was very frustrated that my "London plan" did not work.
Even Germany had a lot of units in the London area (some of them in neighbour hexes)
the ownership of that city hex did not switch to Germany after i diabanded the survivirs there.
And that´s a thing i calculated with [:@] Maybe Vic can tell me why.

With the damn winter weather i had to pick my targets very careful and i choosed
the most dangerous in my eyes. I took out several german units but with high own losses.
Germany has still some powerful attack units, but less than some turns ago.
The bad thing is the artillery he moves in in masses. And i can´t prevent him from doing that actually.
