Europe turn 19

Post by tweber »

Turn 19, March 1941

More frontal assault against the defenses of Manchester. My artillery is starting to have effect as I am able to blast one of the fortifications. I inflict some heavy damage and more importantly, knock out some flack and artillery. With the improved weather, I should be able to get Manchester before the year is out. If I don't, I will be in serious trouble when the US joins the war as my front in the East is relatively weak.

Nobody of you guy´s can feel the pain i feel when i look at England.
The pain to see the german attacker bring so much material in, the pain to see the russians
wait and wait, the pain to see my first fortifications destroyed by german artillery.
Not to forget the pain to see that the enemy planes still do what they want in the Manchester area
without paying for.

But i´m still alive and planned my next attacks.
Used light tank units to attack the units close to Manchester. Also recaptured Birmingham. The enemy
lost some artillery guns here. A attack to his ship group in the north was only a partial success due to a accidently splitted
attack i lost 5 of my 15 divebombers, but at least they sunk all 3 cargoships and a destroyer.

Overall i think i´m on the way to lose this game again. My plan to bring the russians into the game did not work as expected
and i think the german artillery will do their job now. The time until the US help arrives ist still very long.
