November 1939. Karelia. The Russians have launched an attack against us. My battalion is facing a force of unknown strength. There are two forts in this sector, and my mission is to support them in defense of our homeland.

My battalion has three companies, each with four platoons. Close fire support is provided by four 81mm mortars. Corps command has provided two 37mm AT guns to augment my force.

Distant artillery support will be provided by a battalion of 122mm guns (12 tubes).

There is a hill range in the middle of our line. No troops will be placed there. Instead, we will deploy on the lower slopes, and hopefully contain and reduce the attackers. Our goal is to maneuver into a position for a counterattack to throw back the invaders.
