Vic - The AI and the editor

Post by elmerlee »

Looks like the changes we can make for the AI in the editor are numerous. Nice.

I have used some games where there was the ability to change the time taken by the AI to explore it's action variables; thus increasing AI effectiveness. Is there someting like this in the AT editor?

I'm trying to get a handle on some of the items that can be changed in the editor for the AI. As much as 75% of the items listed is rather easy to grasp but the first two are a couple in the 25%. The first has a number for ****FUZZY ***** etc.

I thought maybe this related to my first question. Any chance you could explain this entry.

Secondly what does the reference to MATRIX
mean in the second item? Sorry but I cannot remember the codes.

I'm anxious to get started on senario building and feel I'm pretty much up to snuff except for some AI changes I'd like to tinker with. Surely any ill advised changes here will mess it up and the AI is already real good but there are a couple things I have in mind to try.

I should write some more tutorials especially for more complicated stuff.

I think it is a good one to do one on AI settings.

do you have a few days, or a week.. i'll try to do it soon.

But probably first i'll do the simple scenario design 102 and the advanced scenario design 101.

hopefully then an Artifical Intellingence Design 101. :)

Yes, please keep the tutorials coming - I can't wait to explore the editor and its capabilities some more!

Sounds great Vic.

Does this mean what I ask was too complicated for an easy answer?

Vic, Thanks for all the hard work. I have learned quite a bit about the editor, but there a lot I don't understand. Your first tutorial was very helpful.
