We expect the physical versions will show up fairly soon, so we're not planning an "upgrade" offer - as usual, just sit tight if what you really want is the boxed version and we'll announce as soon as it's available.

Can I ask what specific reason you want a boxed version instead of the digital versions?

Loads of people just like a boxed version. Others like me prefer a printed manual...perhaps he's both [:D]

I really like having the printed manual. In addition, the boxes look very nice on the bookshelf. I know you can burn your own backup, but it's nice just to have. This makes the fourth game I'll be waiting to purchase as a box/download. Matrix, alot of us are waiting. Just the option, physical shipping can come later if printing time is an issue.

Believe me, we know folks are waiting - these delays were not our plan, they're due to a behind the scenes disaster with our printer that has taken a while to sort out.

The reason we don't just activate those versions now is that based on past experience, a lot of customers get upset if they are allowed to order boxed copies and those copies aren't shipped out within a week of them placing that order. Not everyone reads the forums...

As opposed to the small numbers of us who are sitting around chewing our fingernails to the bone praying for your printer to get his problems fixed ...... [:)] I'd really hoped to be playing the game already and all I really want is the box on the shelf as a backup and I didn't / don't want to pay extra. I know ... Breathing .......... At least I have work to do !

Can't you just burn a copy of the digital download onto a disc, with a text file of the serial number and put that on the shelf instead?

Hehe, possible Mack2, I happen to be in the real boxed version camp, looks better on the bookshelf and in the insane collection of Harpoon materials.  I can't stand reading things on the screen (strange eh...) so the bound, printed manual is cool.  I hope Matrix can get them in color some day though, until then Kinkos may get the call to print and bind a color copy.

Thanks Tony !! Of course I could but I just really LIKE the look of the box in the dust that I know will fire up my game when my hard drive copy has vanished in the smoke of digital disaster. that HAS happened more than once. [:(] I do have several digital copies of other things (Like HC97, my resume, my will etc) buried in a Safe Deposit box in case of Real disasters as well but so far (crosses fingers, knees, ankles, eyes, toes and every other appendage he can get to cross) that hasn't happened.

Yeah, I'd have liked the boxed version, probably would have bought DD and boxed if the box was up at release, but yeah, the way I suggested is a slightly less "pretty" way to do it.

Matrix manuals are in colour, and very good quality.
