Game won't run

I updated from 1.3 to 2.18 to give it a spin after setting it aside last year. I can get into the utilities. When I try to play, it goes through the splash screen and the gets a "run-time error 91 Object variable or with block variable not set".

I tried reinstalling and that did nothing. I updated the Directx (9.0c was already installed, but there were some minor updates on MS site) and still no dice.

Running Windows XP, updated the NVidia drivers two weeks ago. DXDiag looks good. Any ideas would be great.

Did you directly update a previous version to 2.18?

You need 2 things, Maximum Football 2.0
And the 2.18 patch

Max 2.0 is the entire game, about 160+ megs, and 2.18 is a smaller update

2.18 wont work on any of the previous Max versions, that is any that are 1.whatever

Gary is correct. Version 1 and version 2 are two different games. You can't apply a 2.0 patch to the version 1 game.
 
You need to update to version 2.0 first (which is free if you own version 1), then apply any patches specifically for verison 2

  A Quick Question you can download MAX 2.0 without buying if you already own Max 1.0 where do i go to download it with out buying it?

If I remember right (I had done this also), you log into Matrix support and go into the patch/support area, and there (I think) is a download there.

I didn't see any where do download MAX 2.0 Version for free without paying for it just need to know if and where i can download the new 2.0 Version without buying the game agian i have Version 1.0 i got Sept of 2006 i would love have the 2.0 version if possible Please help anyone or David..

Go to the Members section (see above). If you have your game registered there, you can go to the Downloads section, and download Version 2.0.

Ok, I got it.  Go to Members Area (not Downloads area) and log in to the Matrix Games Members Club (Register for this, if you have not already).  Then go to Registered Downloads.  You will see MaxFB 2.0 in that area.

At the top of this page click 'Members'

Then click 'Log In'

After logging in click 'Registered Downloads'

You should then see the following about halfway down the page

Maximum-Football 2.0
Maximum-Football v2.0 upgrade (166MB) 20 SEP 2007 Downloads

Click the word 'Downloads'

The first file listed is what you want

maximumfootball-setuprelease-v2.zip (174.65 mb)

I don't see that in register download it show register next to MAXFB 2.0 in that area what is going wrong ?

If you're having problems with registering or what you're seeing after having registering, then you should probably drop the Matrix people an email at membersarea@matrixgames.com

Question Was they Close Friday at member services? just wondering cus i can get my MAXFB 1.0 Version to register at all and wanting get 2.0 version without having to buy it
