Database Bug?

Post by darknite »

The Indian MiG-27ML Bahadur has no radar yet carries AA-12 Adder AAMs (36.7nm range, AHM) in it's Escort loadout. Is this right?

Yes. (The AA-12 Adder is active radar guided, if guidance is what you're aiming at).

I should add that questions about Database entries, and more specifically, the information contained in a particular entry, aren't really 'bugs' and often don't have anything to do with the game code. If someone has questions about why I created a DB entry in a certain way, please feel free to contact me at HarpGamer. Especially if you think you have credible sources that have conflicting information. There's a dedicated forum there for those issues. Thanks in advance, folks.

Understood Brad.

One other thing - the AS-14 Kedges in this a/c's SEAD-LR loadout wouldn't work - said the a/c had no weapons to conduct a land attack (and this 4nm from a SA-15 launcher!).

Perhaps there should be a sub-forum for Data Issues.

Was the SA-15's radar active ? You were within range, and if the SA-15 was active, you should have been able to launch. If you can reproduce the problem, please obtain a savegame.

Happened again, this time vs SA-6s.  I had run the same loadout against another  SA-6 emplacement successfully as well and had just lost a/c to missile fire so I'm positive the radars were on.  Weird.
