Map scrollbar behavior

Post by Aerohead »

I've noticed this for the past few iterations of Harpoon Classic, so I thought I'd mention it again ... one thing that always gets me is the fact that the map jumps around if I click on the scrollbars, even if I do not actually move them. Sometimes I'd like to tweak the map view by just a small amount, but when I actually click on the scrollbar to move it the view immediately shifts from its original position. I'm always expecting a more Windows-like behavior where the map moves only when the scrollbar itself is moved ... you know, similar to how Firefox works, for example.

Any chance this minor UI tweak can make it into some future patch sometime? Thanks.

Took you folks long enough [:@]  Since you went to the trouble of pointing out one of the main reasons I played winharp long after HC97 came out, it has been added to the bug tracking system.

Tony,
Thanks for adding this to Mantis. I've been using the arrow keys as an alternative to the frustrating scrollbars, but it would certainly be nice to have a "root-cause" fix to the issue, to borrow a term from work.
