Intel DBs, AI, and FOW?

Post by MarkShot »

I am not very advanced with H3, but it seems that there is some simulation of separate comm nets/intel DBs. Meaning that neither the player nor the OPFOR's units necessarily have full access to all contacts which have been generated. I thought that there was/is some type of promotion concept (similar to DW) where contacts on different comms links to need to be inserted into other DBs/nets to be known. One example of this is that if you dive, you dive your sub then it goes poof until it comes back to PD.

With HCCE it seems that the player has access to all contacts produced continuously and immediately and is also in constant contact with diving subs, correct? I presume that for the OPFOR AI that the same is also true. For example Red (AI), a Red sub creeping above the layer makes contact with a Blue BG. Immediately all Red AI units know this, correct?
