A suggestion

Post by MartNick »

A little suggestion for some people with resolution problems.

Have you got your monitor manufacturer .ini driver file installed? Not just using the Microsoft plug and play driver. You can usually dl them from the manufacturer website or maybe have it on a CD.

You should also then set your refresh rate to match the monitor specs.

You can do all this in 'Control Panel', 'Display', 'Settings', 'Advanced', 'Monitor'

To update the driver go into properties and click on driver tab (once you've dl'ed it of course)

Hope this helps

A different suggestion, for the game.

Allow corps/fleets to be moved around during setup.

You don't have to load the default set ups. You can set up manually and have no problem placing them where you want with how many factors you want.

What I think John Neal is saying is that once you have placed a unit in Setup and are not happy with the location you should be able to just move it instead of having to remove it and place it again.

I'm having more trouble seeing the difference between leaders, corps and garrisons (and even depots, but the red/white circle helps there), since they all are the same size and very similar at first glance. In the boardgame you could easily spot corps and leaders, but now I feel you have to look at everything.

But, overall a good conersion of the boardgame.

You can move a corps by selecting it and double clicking on the area you want to place it......I discovered this reading another thread ;)
