Admirals Edition's changes look great, but improvements to AI seem to be missing from the list. Currently this seems to be the biggest hole in the WitP engine. While PBEM seems popular I'd bet the vast majority of players are playing WitP solo.

We're working on it, believe me... All the cries for a better AI haven't been in vain, but it's a REALLY difficult task.

Terminus,

For whatever reason many people do not understand the complications of creating/improving an AI. I have some minor programming skills from long ago, so I have a slight clue to it.

If it was easy (or even sometimes "possible") it would always get done. That being said, it will be what it will be.

I have no doubt that the team will do their best with the AI.

Good luck to all of you.

I think impossible is more the appropriate word.

What I would hope is that unlike with the original the code and data isn't broken to accomodate the AI. Given what the guys have done so far I'm hopeful ... :)

Wasn't the original idea a few years back to clone Mogami so everyone could have a PBEM partner? He was going to be cheaper to use than Termy, because he's do it for beer alone...

How is Mogami doing by the way? I hope he is on his way to his 20th year... well that is the last I have heard about him at least.[:)]
It doesn't make any sense, Admiral. Were we better than the Japanese or just luckier?

Last news was that they tried first to ship him to Iraq as 11B (Infantryman !), but then realized his age and he's going in as 92G (makin food) [:D]
