Password problem

Playing FITE I'm axis and sent the first turn to opponent using version 3.0.0.12, he got it and returned but he used version 3.2.29.27. I can't open the .pbl file beyond the password interface. I'm pretty sure that I remember the password, but would like to see if there is something that can be done to figure out if it is corrupted, or if I can use a Hex Editor to figure out the password. Any thoughts?

You need to patch up to the same version level he is playing with.

Sorry, wasn't clear. I did upgrade to the same version but I upgraded after I had set the password in the previous version.

Ask your opponent to send you the turn again. It may have experienced some data corruption, or your opponent may have messed up and sent you the wrong file.
