Graphics Glitch

Post by rockmedic109 »

I am playing the latest version of CHS.

I now am getting a graphics glitch during combat animations. All Japanese ships and almost all allied ships {all except subs} are replaced by what appears to be a square button with an arrow pointing down.

I replaced the CHS ship graphics and did not change the situation.

Any ideas?

Do you mean you reloaded the CHS ship graphics and copied them into the ART file... or that you replaced them with something else??? [&:]

I reloaded the CHS ship graphics. Ran a turn and got the same results.

OK - how did you reload them?

Probably not enough RAM. Try rebooting your machine, and don't run any other programs besides WitP.

I unzipped the graphics into the WITP folder.

Shouldn't be it. I have 2 gigs of RAM. Been playing on my laptop for nearly two years now.

Try doing it anyway... check with TASK MANAGER to make sure you don't have something unknown running in the background that is a real memory hog. Over time, WINDOWS likes to install more and more junk and eventually memory can be a problem.

The ship graphics files go into the WitP or should we say CHS MOD/Art/Allied or Japan folders.
Also within these folders ( Allied and Japan ) you have two other sub folders, these are ship sides, ship shills ? and/or transport.
You must make sure the correct files go into the corresponding folder ( i.e. Allied ship sides go into the - CHS MOD/Art/Allied ship sides folder.
You must move the contents of the downloaded mod to each folder seperately one at a time.
Hope this helps as it's a brillant mod, great map and terrific graphics.
