EOS 7.78723 regarding Ki-49 Helen

Hi El Cid,

I just wanted to make sure there wasn't a problem with the date of July-42 for having access to the Helen. I have 29 in stock and I have 5 units of Helens on the map. Was it the intent of this mod to have Japan wait until July of 42 for access to these LBs?

There are similar instances on my side too, Mike. I have some nice shiny fast P63s that I won't be able to play with! I think it's meant to represent operational evaluation and these planes are the pre-production batch.

Essentially correct. You also have some Ki-44s ! Just enough for an experimental squadron to upgrade to - but it won't get any replacements until they enter production in 9/42.

In EOS family Ki-49 is operational in tiny units - squadrons of 9 and recon flights of 3 - because it can reach Oahu from Johnston Island. But if you don't use them with care - you will not use them long! You are supposed to move Ki-21s forward to Maui or something like that - to take up the pounding of Oahu.

In CVO and BBO families the Ki-49 is only a pool - planes that exist and are not operational. Use em if you want - but no replacements until summer 1942.
