How is air transport working?

Post by MrLongleg »

Obviously I am too stupid to put units in my air transporter. I am planning a paradrop, that is later enforced by units flied in by transporters. I don't find a clue in the manual - except that it should be possible.

You can air transport OR paradrop.

Paratroopers you can drop on enemy terrain (cities are not longer allowed to drop at !)
You choose the transport plane, air transport and then the unit you wish to transport.
After that the target hex and execute and voila.

The other way is air transport. Here you can transfer troops from one airfield to another.
So you can for example transfer 20 rifle from city a to city b. In that case the tranport planes
can land at the target field. No heavy weapons allowed here. Only infantry.

Transport plane and unit you wish to transport have to be in the same hex.
