Adding Provinces to Poland

I think this may have been discussed previously, but could not find it.

In a game where I created Poland, I am not able to add newly acquired provinces to it. I was under the impression that any additional acquisitions would be so added.

If I may ask, what is the major hang up programatically with addign additional provinces or countries to a kingdom unit?
