Command Ops: Battles From The Bulge takes the highly acclaimed Airborne Assault engine back to the West Front for the crucial engagements during the Ardennes Offensive. Test your command skills in the fiery crucible of Airborne Assault’s “pausable continuous time” uber-realistic game engine. It's up to you to develop the strategy, issue the orders, set the pace, and try to win the laurels of victory in the cold, shadowy Ardennes.
Command Ops: Highway to the Reich brings us to the setting of one of the most epic and controversial battles of World War II: Operation Market-Garden, covering every major engagement along Hell’s Highway, from the surprise capture of Joe’s Bridge by the Irish Guards a week before the offensive to the final battles on “The Island” south of Arnhem.

Map & unit scale are similar, but due to the nature of the terrain (more varied, elevation levels) the maps are a beauty compared to HttR.

I am sure.. one thing that I like in HttR was the ability to use stand of art and armor weapons... granted in the forests of this area they may not be too affective

The Ardennes is not all forest - it's more like a patchwork of cultivated land and woods, hills and pretty flat terrain, with plenty of non-fordable rivers everywhere. This makes controlling the road network important, which makes crossroads and towns important.

US arty is powerfull and the Germans have some punch too and a well-placed AT unit or two can do some serious damage. Real wargamers are going to love this game [;)]

Take a look at my dormant AAR at the top of this forum for an indication of the terrain and how well armored formations can perform in it.

Ah, ok, it's just that a lot of people think it's nothing but virgin woods as far as the eye can see [;)]

Release date ? Your guess is as good as our's [;)]
