HQ Assignment Question

Post by emcgman »

Is there a limit to how many HQ's can be in the chain back to the main HQ?

I have a sub HQ that I want to be the HQ for another HQ further away, but it won't let me assign it. (Green checkbox won't light up)

Thanks

The limit is 4 HQ's in chain of command but there is no limit on number of HQ's on each level

4 is the default number of HQ's in Chain of Command. This is set by a rulevar 304. THe note for that rulevar indicates no limit. BUT both Vic, and Twebber have recommended using very flat command structures.

I think Vic implied that the AI has an easier time with flat structure, though AI will pretty much create the chain it wants. I think both Vic and Twebber also indicate for efficiency, the flat structure works best.
