Some new assignments

Call for Volunteers! This sub-forum is devoted to our ongoing project of researching and
writing brief biographical sketches of all 1000 Civil War generals, each
of whom has a chance of appearing when one plays "Forge of Freedom."
Players are invited to participate in providing info for these bios, which will be added to the game by means of patches, as they are
written.

Some new assignments

Post by Gil R. »

jkBluesman asked to do the following, so I've assigned them to him:
Union generals: J.H. Wilson, G.W. Getty, J. Rawlins, F. Wheaton, A. Hays, T.H. Neill. Also the following Confederates: G.P. Doles, J. Daniel and J. Gregg

Sometime this week I'll finally return to editing bios. I've been busy with work, and then had to go through 3500 old e-mails in an account that was due to die on Jan. 5, many of which were important. But now I'll have some time once again.

Hello. I have been getting through the holidays for the last couple months and made it through the other side! Happy new year!

Santa brought me a book for Christmas. Generals in Gray by Ezra Warner. I must have been nice at some point last year. I would like to start on some CSA generals if that's ok and put this book to use. Gil, do you have any that you can assign?

How was the trip to Fredericksburg?

Shenandoah,
Good to see you back. Looking through the list, one obvious name strikes me, though he's not a Confederate: Phil Sheridan. Somehow he's still out there, and something at the back of my mind makes me think that he had something to do with the Shenandoah Valley...

Also, I still have you down for P. Cook. As for any other Confederates, the good ones have all been done. Perhaps I should e-mail you my master Excel file, and you can look through it to see if any names jump out.

As for Fredericksburg, I never got down there -- family obligations prevented me from going. Perhaps in the spring.
