Will a unit eventually die of starvation?

As the headline says. Will a unit with 0% supply eventually die of starvation. Or do you have to kill it off?

In my experience units like that just stay in one place indefinitely. I've never seen one completely die off.
Interstingly a submarine (I assume the same with other ships) at basically 0 supply will be able to move like one hex per turn (I guess the sailors paddle or something [:D]).

Units wont die, but they will lose all readiness meaning a combat power of 0 and 0 movement so it poses no threat. Only time you should really worry about cut of units is if they have supply to move, or if they are in danger of being resupplyed by either air or units opening up a supply line.

In general if you steam roll forward you dont have to worry about left behind enemy units. Keep some units back and let them die out and then attack them.
