PBEM changes

Post by Mart777 »

I was wondering if the pbem system could be improved, I think you should be able to input the email address of the recipient and just press send. Likewise on the recieving end just one click to import the turn.

Am I being a bit nieve about the programming this takes? Seems to me in this day of internet gaming things should be really simple, afterall servers control lots of players with the online shooters.

I have not tried pbem yet myself but read lots of messages about "out of sync" and "what save file do I send and install first". In this day and age we expect everything to be idiot proof this seems a perfect opportunity to implement this feature.

But then idiots could play this game, too! We don't want that to happen, do we? [;)]

Its very straightforward, especially as the Allies - and an automatic emailing of the turn would deny me the chance to make nasty and offensive comments, and offer helpful non advice to my opponent.

I'm with Roger..., part of the fun of PBEM is exchanging comments and needling the loyal opposition in the e-mails.
