Turning combat report off!!

Trying to get my game in sync and I need to turn the combat report off

I'm not quite sure how to turn Combat Reports off BEFORE running the turn. If I turn it off on the Main Menu, it just defaults to the in-game setting when I load the game turn.

Any ideas?

Only the IJ player can do this - not the Allied one. Are you Allied or Japanese?

Hmmm... i've not played PBEM as IJ, so i'll let someone who has chime in lest i give misleading advice.
