My plan is to do every uniform ever worn in the NFL before the patch and I start a league.

Considering that the delay releasing this next patch is partially due to adding some items that you have specifically asked for, I find it a bit of irony that you would be most critical of the delay.
 
I understand that you want to be able to get on with a new season with the new features, but waiting for a patch is certainly better than waiting until next football season which is what would have to be done with most other football game titles.
