a strange (production) phenomena

Post by el cid again »

Closely tracking ship production - I have taken to date checking to see if ships are advancing.

Here - running close to what I thought was perfect ratio of ship points to requirements (for AIO) - I checked three warships:

all three are ahead of time.

Computer vs computer with NO ships set to accelerated

Nisshin is scheduled to appear in two days (25 Feb 42)

so is I-29

so is I-30

yet in this scenario Nisshing and I-29 are supposed to appear on Feb 27
and I-30 on Feb 28.

So what is happening? If you have enough points ships automatically accelerate? Something else?

whatever - it makes measuring hard

Is it possible this might have been affected by the options screen ref "historical dates of deployment??"

How? I don't see any indication this is the case. It appears that every warship will advance "extra days" if there are enough points in the pooll to do so. I am not at all sure why all points are not expended - but they are not. On the other hand, the pool never gets very large either - it seems to want to have a certain size and then it expends all additional.
