Date format & ODD

Post by Merv0728 »

I have been trying ODD version 4.0 for the first time but the date prob. seems to still be there,or am I doing something wrong.
The dates in the dump file are of the format.. December 17th, 1942 but ODD throws out a message that the date "17/12/1942" is invalid format.
Do I have to change all the dates in the SCE file ?

I changed the date format in ODD to match whatever your system settings are.  In your case I'm guessing you have dates set up to display dd/mm/yyyy. You can change it temporarily to do the dump read but I wouldn't waste my time. In reality, you don't really need to use the old text scenario dump anymore.  Go into "Scenario Setup" and you can directly input the values yourself in about 30 seconds.

Also keep in mind that unlike events, equipment, and the OOB, TOAW will not import Calendar and Environment data from any text or XML file.  ODD uses it only for the event simulator and display purposes.
Grab them by the balls. Their hearts and minds will follow.
