Simple Scenarios

Post by Iron Knight »

Howdy,

I've been having fun playing some of the basic scenarios with my freinds but I've ran into the problem that there are few scenarios for 3-4 people that have balanced starting positions. So I have been working on a few maps and would like to get some feedback on them if possible. I've heard there is a scenario bank that we can sumbit scenarios to but how does that work? Do I need get the scenarios approved first? Would anyone be interested in looking at it? It seems to work. I put a lot of cities in it but the AI still seems woefully incompetent for some reason.

Iron,

The scenario bank is located at :

http://www.advancedtactics.org/

Along with a number of other game resources. When you create a scenario, you can upload it to the sandbox area and invite folks to try it and comment on it. This is good way to get some feedback, though you might have to cajole a little.

When you're satisfied that is plays the way you want it to, you can move it the the are "pending approval"

Once it's there, a few folks will go in and make sure it's packaged correctly and that it actually works. It will get then "approved" and moved up to the "approved" list.

But other folks can download it even when it's in the sandbox, in fact, you'd probably want them to to get feed back.

Hope this answers your question

You will need to register on that site. If you haven't been there yet, you should go, Lot's of sceanrios there to try out.

The scenario should be a good map for a quick four player game. If your interested, please give it a try and let me know if its ok. [:)]

Very nice idea, Iron Knight. I was considering creating such a map by myself, you'll save me the effort. [&o]

Ho, just downloaded the archive. But what does this mean (in the scenario description) :
Each side is equal except for a 2pp increase for each possition per possition that goes before it.

Ya, because the map isn't that big I thought that those who went later in the turn order needed a little boost. It's not much but I didn't want to overdue it either. Anyhow I'm about 60% done with a three player map.
