If someone could compare them it would be nice. Is it just the timeframe?

CoW is an extension of the Legion engine. It has more features such as trade, diplomats and larger armies, but the game system is pretty consistent - cities, resources, armies battles. Legion has smaller scenarios and a lot of people seem to love the simplicity of the first game.

Thanks. I have CoW so no sense going backwards. I had fun with the timeframe for awhile.
