Missing ships in "platform display" in scenario editor.

Post by Morewise »

When using the scenario editor (Westpac/HC2003....) I noticed that the platform display does not list any ships after US AE Kilauea. You can access the information by clicking next ship. At first I thought it was a download issue, but now that I have the disk it still exists. It doesn't effect adding ships to the scenario, it's more cosmetic than anything. Just a bug.

Yup, and fixed ages ago thankfully.  It happens when the contents a the listbox get too long, being a 16-bit application (the Scenario Editor), that means 32767 characters, and that gets surpassed a few places with larger databases.  In the patch you'll notice it annoyingly in the installations list with entries being truncated.  In the ship class listing in the patch it looks pretty good yet (but will look worse as more ships are added to the DB.

How's that for a long answer to a short report? [:)]

Old known Bug....

But fixed with the Patch...

The Shipnames becomes too long vs the namespace.(Ask Tony for Details, please![8D])
